Bert Huyghe, born 1989, lives and works in Oostende, Belgium. Huyghe is always investigating what painting can personally and presently mean. His work consists of recurring themes in series of layered, colorful canvasses and small, modest, black and white drawings. Part conceptual tongue in cheek, part virtuoso crappy bragadoccio.
