Hopstreet Gallery

Sint-Jorisstraat 109, 1050 Elsene

Marie-Paule Grusenmeyer, the driving force behind Hopstreet Gallery, strives, thanks to her background and education, to find a balance between form and content, between aesthetics and ideas. She wants to share this
mindset with others.

The gallery promotes European artists who often work as archaeologists. They are often interested in art-historical references, and their works are layered. The invisible, underlying structures slowly emerge, and the entity can be discovered step by step.

The gallery has been based in uptown Brussels, in the Bascule district on the border between Ixelles and Uccle, since 2014. The gallery opened a second space in Deurle, next to the Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens, in 2020.
